“I'm so thrilled and proud to be a new member of the Raymour & Flanigan family! It was serendipitous, really, how our coming together happened. Before our partnership came to fruition, my brother-in-law, Steven, called to tell me all about the amazing experience he had purchasing his new furniture. This was a very big deal for him as he was finally taking the plunge and investing in 'grown up' furniture. He went on and on about how much time the salesperson had taken with him-listening to his needs and budget and then covering all of the options that fit the bill. Steven was also able to take advantage of great financing. The delivery of the furniture was handled with the utmost care, and arrived just two days after he made his purchase!
As the designer in the family, I get all of the calls about the woes and wows of my relatives' home projects, from the great bargains to the horrible messes. Usually, the calls begin with 'I need your help,' but here was my 26-year-old bachelor brother-in-law, so impressed with the way he was taken care of-not to mention how excited he was with his picks--that he called to make sure that I knew all about Raymour & Flanigan. Having been a longtime fan of this trusted retailer, Steven's enthusiastic kudos gave me a whole new respect for the company. I'm most proud to be part of the Raymour & Flanigan family because they care so much about their customers, and share in my vision that everyone deserves a beautiful home-no matter the style or the price range.
We all feel pressure to make sure that our homes really reflect who we are and make the folks we invite into it feel good, too. This can be daunting-even downright scary for some. When we plunk down our hard earned money, we want to make sure we did everything right, and that it'll all look as gorgeous at home as it did in our heads. Design has become so inundated with rules, and the truest rule is-this should be fun! If you love it, it works. And if you're not sure, then hopefully some of the ideas I share with you will help along the way.
So here I am! Think of me as your own personal designer of sorts. I'll be giving my two cents about all of the pieces--what they work with and why, color suggestions and more. I'll work to keep you filled in on trends that I'm seeing in the design world and seasonal ideas that you can apply at home easily. I've always felt that one of the best parts of my job is being invited into people's lives in such a personal way, because home truly is a refuge for us all. The things that we put into it are an investment-in our families and in our futures. All of the work that goes into creating our homes is an effort to make our most valuable time with the people we love most as beautiful as it can be!”
